I am 13-year-old boy from South Africa. I am from a black community where cerebral palsy is considered a curse and most of the children are kept at home for our whole lives. I wish that my community could learn a lot about cerebral palsy and accept people with CP as the human beings we are.

I was diagnosed at 10 months with cerebral palsy and disability, and I attend nearby school during the the day with the assistance of facilitators. I like to listen to music and watch cartoons, and I’m very happy. Though things were difficult with four surgeries and going in and out of the hospital, but I’m a warrior.
